job purpose
To manage and administer the YWCA Resolve Family Abuse Program with emphasis on quality program services and fiscal responsibility.

job responsibilities
  1. Supervises the work of all program employees (incl. overseeing the hiring, evaluation and dismissal of staff)
  2. Oversees the facility management of all Resolve properties
  3. Administers and monitors the budget
  4. Acts as liaison with funding agencies (writes grants and finds other funding sources, collaborating with the YWCA Executive Director on funding activities; oversees the work of the Grants manager in the preparation and submission of all progress reports for funders in a timely manner)
  5. Represents the program to the public
  6. Plans and engages in educational offerings and training sessions for the public that result in increased awareness of domestic violence and program services.
  7. Communicates regularly with the YWCA Executive Director.
  8. Assures the presence of training programs that meet the needs of staff and volunteers
  9. Develops strong linkages and working relationships with other organizations that offer services and resources beneficial to the program and the program’s clientele
  10. Represents the program on important community and state committees and task forces that address domestic violence
  11. Represents the program as a member agency of the WVCADV
  12. Works with the YWCA Executive Director and Board of Directors to enhance all programs of the YWCA 
  13. Other duties as assigned by the YWCA Executive Director

accountability
Reports directly to the Executive Director of the YWCA

qualifications
  1. Masters degree preferred in a human services field; Bachelors degree acceptable (with at least two years of work experience in the domestic violence field)
  2. Administrative and supervisory experience
  3. Experience in public speaking, training, and fund raising
  4. Grant writing ability
  5. Knowledgeable about domestic violence and human services systems
