Last year, Women of Achievement allowed for the following to occur: more than 350 individuals without jobs received crucial job-readiness training; more than 1,800 victims of domestic violence and their children had access to 24/7 emergency shelter, safety planning, counseling, support groups and court advocacy; nearly 100 children (70% of whom are from low-income families) received quality, affordable early-child education and aftercare programs; 11 elderly female victims of abuse or chronic homelessness had a permanent apartment in a loving community; minority populations in Kanawha, Clay and Boone counties have a sea of advocates – working fearlessly toward the elimination of racism; and more than 350 exchanges and 443 parental visits were safely monitored. Help us achieve even more this year by joining us for this event!
