The annual YWCA Women of Achievement luncheon honors five women in the Kanawha Valley for their outstanding personal and professional achievements, as well as their contributions to the community. The event celebrates women’s leadership while raising funds for all YWCA programs.
Race To End Racism is a new 5K Run/1M Walk raising funds for community engagement and racial equity & inclusion programming at YWCA Charleston. The event will take place on the West Side of Charleston. For the first time ever this event will bring corporate partners, congregations, police, non-profit organizations and community members together to celebrate our diversity and to take a stand against racism.
Girls Night Out is more than just a party; it’s a celebration of women working for their communities. The event raises funds and awareness for the YWCA Resolve Family Abuse Program to serve victims of domestic violence and their children.
Guys Night Out is the largest party in Charleston, and is lead by a volunteer group of men who host the event to generate funds for YWCA Sojourner's Shelter program, which provides shelter, meals, counseling, education and job training, and supportive services to homeless women, children and families.
